Racine County Administrative Assistant

JusticePoint is looking for a detail-oriented and organized individual with a passion for helping the office run smooth. As the Administrative Assistant for the Racine County Alternatives Program (RCAP), you will provide crucial support for program operations, ensuring the seamless flow of essential administrative tasks. In this pivotal role, you will aid clients checking into the office for appointments, assist the team in gathering information from individuals booked into the jail, perform drug and alcohol testing, and support case management staff with electronic monitoring tasks. Your contributions are vital in providing indispensable support to RCAP, enabling us to fulfill our mission effectively and efficiently.

 

The Administrative Assistant will greet and direct individuals and guests when they arrive to the office; direct callers as appropriate (including taking and forwarding messages to staff); assist with court reminder phone calls, including helping clients problem-solve barriers in reporting to court; complete interviews; perform drug and alcohol testing; provide support with electronic monitoring tasks; become versed in the programs and services offered by JusticePoint; assist with other clerical duties as needed.

Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (including Outlook, Word)
  • Ability to communicate professionally & accurately, both orally and written
  • Organized, attentive to detail, ability to multi-task, work independently
  • Ability to maintain a professional, respectful demeanor with clients, guests, and colleagues
  • Prior clerical or reception experience preferred

 

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalency required
  • Valid driver’s license and automobile with insurance
  • Pass a pre-employment background check
