This position offers a balance between management responsibilities and direct service to residents by managing Sirona Recovery’s Permanent Supportive Housing programs which provide services to people who live with mental health, substance use, or other challenges who may need support to live independently after homelessness.
Services are provided within the Housing First model, which is a low-barrier, person-centered, and rehabilitative approach to supportive housing. The Program Coordinator is responsible for direct supervision and hiring of staff, coordinating initial and ongoing staff training, and support. The position also develops and updates program policies and procedures to meet agency and contractual requirements, maintaining a quality assurance process that monitors the quality of service provision, appropriate case documentation, and participant satisfaction. The Program Coordinator facilitates and participates in meetings with Milwaukee County Housing Division, property management, and outside care providers. Direct service to residents includes providing support, referrals, assessments, and coordinating care with outside case managers and providers.
