The Milwaukee County Early Interventions Team is looking for a Drug Treatment Court (DTC) Case Manager to serve the needs of individuals involved in the legal system and assist them in navigating the criminal justice and treatment systems. DTC Case Managers work closely with each client to develop an appropriate case plan to address client’s criminogenic risk areas, as well as make referrals to community providers to best address client’s needs. Clients in the Drug Treatment Court have substance use disorders and are often experiencing mental health disorders as well. Case Managers should be both empathetic and compassionate. The Case Manager should have knowledge of the criminal justice system and act as a neutral party between the client, the District Attorney’s Office, and defense attorneys.
Responsibilities of the Drug Treatment Court Case Manager will include: maintaining a caseload of at least 25 participants; referring to & having knowledge of available community resources; attending weekly court staffing to provide DTC Team with up-to-date information regarding client and ensuring the client attends all court appearances; providing accurate written reports to the court; enter and maintain case information in the electronic database; and perform other duties as assigned.
