JusticePoint is looking for a detail oriented, people-person to assess the risk/needs of individuals referred for Early Interventions programs. Using an actuarial risk and needs assessment (Ohio Risk Assessment System and Stages of Change Readiness and Treatment Eagerness Scale) the Assessment Specialist will determine an individual’s risk level, programming needs, and eligibility for diversion and treatment court programming in Milwaukee County. The Assessment Specialist will be responsible for communicating the eligibility and programming recommendations of the individual to system stakeholders. Many of the individuals served are experiencing mental health and/or substance use disorders. This role requires an individual who is both empathetic and compassionate.
Responsibilities of the Assessment Specialist include completing face-to-face assessments, providing written eligibility reports to system stakeholders, maintaining and oversight of the assessment scheduling calendar, entering and maintaining case information in the electronic database, quality assurance checks of completed assessments, and other duties as assigned.
