Urinalysis (UA) Sample Collector

As a member of the JusticePoint team, the Urinalysis (UA) Sample Collector coordinates, facilitates, and observes urine testing for program participants. This role requires strict adherence to testing protocols, professionalism, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy. The UA Sample Collector supports program operations by maintaining quality control standards and communicating results to the case management team.

Responsibilities:
• Perform urine specimen collection in accordance with program procedures, including observed urine drug and alcohol screens for male clients (collector must be the same gender as the client providing the sample)
• Provide high level of professional service and respect for clients’ privacy
• Organize workflow to ensure efficient and accurate testing
• Ensure compliance with quality control and quality improvement protocols
• Order and maintain stock of UA testing materials
• Complete data entry requirements
• Assure client confidentiality in accordance with 42 CFR and HIPAA
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications & Competencies:

• Must be 18 years or older
• Basic Computer skills
• Demonstrate ability to work well with individuals from diverse economic, racial, and ethnic backgrounds
• Strong de-escalation and conflict resolution skills
• Demonstrate an ability to work with clients with substance abuse and mental health needs
• Pass a pre-employment background check
